Just a note to let you know what's occurring in the swinging world of Smashing Time.
NEW SONGS
We're currently rehearsing some new material that should hopefully get an airing over the summer.
RADIO
Mike Read continues to champion the band on his morning show (9-1pm weekdays) on www.bigl.co.uk and on SKY 0180. It will soon broadcast on medium wave. You can e mail the show to request tracks from the album and generally make a nuisance of yourself at studio@bigl.co.uk

NEW MICROWEBSITE
Jim Guynan has created a new micro site at www.myspace.com/thebandsmashingtime . Check out the pictures of the band and soon to be posted bonus tracks.There will also be videos (the Substitute promo, directed by Dave Prosser, will be up by the weekend) and a regular blog...whatever that is! The aim is to provide a more interactive site to compliment www.smashingtime.com where you can buy our album Make Some Noise.
WHO'S DONE WHAT
- Bobby appears in the latest Placebo video Infra Red. You can view it at www.placeboworld.com or look out for it on MTV etc
- Paul is busy writing a filmscript and a stage play.
- Alvin is in the middle of something rather special musical projects. More to follow.
- Smiler is depping with Jam tribute act Wellah.
- Jim Bishop has been projecting obscene images onto a band called The StripChords.
- Jim Guynan has been DJing at various clubs and on top of Tower Bridge.
